Living in Seattle, a city not well known for its sunny climate and warm temperatures (the polar opposite actually), I don’t honestly own a great number of sandals or open-toe shoes in general. It’s simply not practical. However, this means that any sandals I do own need to fit into several different categories.
Are they comfortable? Are they casual enough for weekends? Formal enough for work? Could I stand and walk in these all day long? How many outfits would this match?
These are all some of the questions I ask myself when I’m picking out summer sandals simply because they have so many shoes to fill (had too, sorry). For the past several years now, a pair of lower heeled cognac wedges have been my favorite option.
Why these wedges? Simple. They check yes to every single one of my questions above. I regularly travel in/with these shoes, can run to the bus, and go through an entire workday without aching feet. On the flip side, they also look great with jeans, skirts, and shorts plus match just about any outfit. Got to love an all-around winning pair like these babies.
While this exact pair is no longer available, I found a nearly exact match at Target of all places. You’ll want to run, not walk, to get your hands on a pair. They will be your favorites for the summer if you just give them the chance!
What are your go-to summer shoes? Let me know in the comments!
Until next time,
