Lipstick Lovin’

Hi guys!

It’s no secret that I’m a lipstick girl! If I’m pressed for time in the morning, I will reach for concealer and a lip product and be content heading out the door. I think it is something I got from my mother, a lady who won’t leave the house without red lipstick on.

I thought to share my favorite picks with you guys today
Here are my six favorite and most loved shades!

(from L to R) Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balmstain in 045 Romantic, Revlon Just Kissable Balmstain in 001 Honey, Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede in 025 Socialite, Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in 070 Airy Fairy, Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in 644 Let’s Get Naked, L’Oreal Colour Riche Balm in 176 Vineyard Peach

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balmstain in 045 Romantic

This is a great classic red. It starts off glossy and as it wears throughout the day becomes a nice stain. This stuff is really long lasting as well. I can eat and drink and it will still hold up.
Revlon Just Kissable Balmstain in 001 Honey
This is my all-time go-to lip color! It is the perfect my-lip-color-but-better. The same goes for Honey as for Romantic. Glossy at first, wearing out to a nice pink stain. This one does change color a little as the glossy part wears off. It gets a bit more pink rather than the original mauve-y color
Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede in 025 Socialite
I love how this lipstick feels when you put it on! It is so smooth and creamy but feels like nothing on the lips. It also lasts forever. The color is a nice neutral pink, very similar to the Balmstain in Honey but without the gloss

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in 070 Airy Fairy
I got turned on to this lipstick by blogger Anna Saccone (check out her blog here). This is literally the exact same shade as my natural lip color but with a hint of cool tones. I love wearing it when I’m wearing more eye makeup (to keep the look balanced) or if I just want something natural/simple
Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in 644 Let’s Get Naked
This is my go-to nude lipstick even though it is a bit on the peachy side. I like a little color in my nude lip. While not long-lasting, it is super moisturizing and a feels great on the lips
L’Oreal Colour Riche Balm in 176 Vineyard Peach
Another great moisturizing lip stick, it was part of the limited edition colors release by L’Oreal several months ago. It’s a great pop of color in a vibrant peach color without being too orange. As we transition into spring and summer, I see myself breaking this one out a lot.

And that’s it!

Here is a close up of the swatches all together

What are your favorite lipsticks? What about other lip products? Gloss? Liners?

Until next time,

Any tips on darker colors? I've been looking for a Plum color for a while…

Try out some plum colors or deep reds. Maybelline has the color whisper line which are sheered out and the color vivids which are bright. L'Oreal also does a good job seperating their lipcolors in the store by shade category
