Hi guys!
Do you ever have days when you are running late, have a million things to do (ok, maybe a little bit less), and are super stressed from the get-go?
Today is one of those days.
I just wanted to do a quick post about how I minimize one stressor by making sure I look and feel good about myself. It’s one of those you look good, so you feel good, so you can do good scenarios.
Let’s get right into it
First off, I like to take a small amount of time in the morning to do my hair so that it is under control. If I can get my hair situated, I already feel a little bit better.
I use It’s a 10 Leave-In product all over my hair for shine and as a heat protectant and follow with Dove Oxygen Moisture Root Lift Spray in the roots for added volume. |
This for me generally involved a quick shower and blow dry. I’m not talking anything fancy. I spray some leave-in product and a root lifting spray then hit it with the blow dryer. Nothing with a round brush and what not, I just try to get the area around my face and roots dry so that cowlicks don’t overtake my face.
All I need for a quick and put together makeup look are these six products |
Makeup is also super simple. I will do a full base of foundation, concealer and powder because I like pretending that I have great skin. Eyes for me are secondary. I’ll use a little eyeliner and mascara and be done.
My three favorite “feel happy” lipsticks are Rimmel Moisture Renew in 644 Let’s Get Naked, Revlon Balmstain in 040 Rendezvous and 045 Romantic |
These types of days require a special lipstick. There is something about having lipstick on that lifts my spirits. Therefore, I consider it a must!
I love this striped French Connection dress or this classic black romper from TJ Maxx paired with Frye sandals for running around town. Both are comfortable combinations with a classic style look |
As far as clothing goes, I always have a go-to in-a-pinch outfit. Because it is summer, I always fall back on rompers and dresses. I like to think that simplicity is key!
Do you have a plan from stressful days?
Are there certain things that you do to make those days a little bit better?

I’m on ’em all!
Until next time,
