August Birchbox Unboxing

Hi guys!

Last week I finally got my August Birchbox! It was waiting patiently for me when I got home from my trip to Houston. I think that this is the last month that I will be subscribing to Birchbox. I haven’t loved any of the products in my last several boxes so I think it is time for a break. Let me know if there is any other subscription service that you like that I should try out!

Take a look at my August picks!

amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo
This is a travel sized dry shampoo, which I wish I had before leaving for my trip! I use dry shampoo nearly everyday so I have high hopes that this little guy will make it into my travel case.

Cailyn Cosmetics Dizzolv’ it Makeup Melt Cleansing Balm
This is a makeup removing balm. I have tried these in the past and am glad to have a new one to test out. It works similar to oil makeup remover. You apply the balm with dry hands to a dry face and slowly add water while massaging it into your skin. The balm turns milky and whisks all the makeup and dirt off your face in one step. It’s just like Chemistry 101 again: like binds to like. Except this time with your makeup

Harvey Prince Ageless Body Creme
Travel sized body lotion never goes awry with me especially when it is grapefruit scent. I love citrus scented things so will probably like this lotion. Other than that, I have never heard of the brand and am interested to see what makes this lotion so special

Marcelle BB Cream Golden Glow
This is marked as a skin enhancer (whatever that is supposed to be). I’m not quite sure what it is supposed to do but the packaging says that it adds a natural glow to the skin and can be worn alone or under makeup. So it’s a tinted primer? Let me know if you have tried this and what I’m supposed to do with it!

theBalm Stainiac in Beauty Queen
This is the product that I am most excited about for this month’s box. I love products by theBalm but they can be tricky to get your hands onto. This works as a lip and cheek stain in a pretty cranberry red wash of color.

Have you tried any of these products before?
Is there a subscription service that I should try instead of Birchbox?
Let me know!

I’m on ’em all!

Until next time,
