Liner and Lips #MakeupMonday (VIDEO)

Hi guys!

Today I decided to do my take on the classic cat-eye and lip. This look has been getting a lot of love recently as it is the look Taylor Swift wore in her newest music video “Shake It Up” and modern takes on retro are also seen in Megan Trainor’s “All About That Bass”.
(These are also my two favorite songs of the moment)

After braving the infamous ‘cat-eye’ with some liquid liner, I picked out three different lip colors that go well with the look. And you can watch it all unfold in video form at the end of this post!

Take a look!

Products Used:
Garnier BB Cream in Light/Medium
L’Oreal Visible Lift CC Concealer in Light
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in 004 Sandstorm
Estee Lauder Silky Blush in Pink Kiss
L’Oreal 12hr Infallible Super Slim Eyeliner in Black
Jordana 12HR Made to Last Eyeliner in Charcoal
Maybelline The Rocket Volum’ Express Waterproof in Black
Tarte LipSurgence Pigment in Exposed
Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquer in 101 Celestial
Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balmstain in 045 Romantic
After doing my face as normal, I tackled the trick that is winged liner
For the liner, I used L’Oreal 12hr Infallible Super Slim Eyeliner in black. I like to start making my line on the outer third of my lash line and work my way in. Take your time and don’t worry about messing up (it’s only makeup) as a Q-tip and some makeup remover will clean anything up. As I have hooded eyes, I like a very thin line but do what suits your eye shape most.
For the flick at the end, start by mapping out how far out you want your flick. Mine is fairly small, more kitten than cat. I like to make a dot where the flick is going to end and then play connect the dots by pulling inwards towards lash line.

I picked out three lip colors to go with the liner: a nude, a pink, and a red.

Nude: Tarte LipSurgence Power Pigment in Exposed

Pink: Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquer in Celestial

Red: Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balmstain in Romantic

Do you guys love liquid liner or are you a little scared of it (like me)?
