Winter Travel Beauty Essentials

Hi guys!

As we get into the season of holiday travel, I thought to share my Winter Travel Beauty Essentials with you guys. These are the items that must be in my hand bag whether I am setting out by car or plane.

Take a look!
Winter Travel Beauty Essentials
1) Face Moisturizers
Whenever I travel, I realize how humid of an environment I live in. I will instantly turn into a raisin when I enter an airplane or, like this week, head over the mountains. Therefore the very first is moisturizer. I use both regular lotion moisturizer and will often top it with an oil.

2) Lip Treatments
Along the same raisin lines, my lips get dry and peel like no ones business. My dermatologist recommended this baby diaper rash ointment (weird, I know) as a replacement for lip balm. I swear by it and find that it helps the most chapped and driest of lips

3) Eye Drops
Again, everything dries out including my eyes, which is no bueno especially as I wear contacts. These are the ones that I have used in the past that work with contacts but I am on the lookout for others.

4) Hand Cream
Hand cream is a handbag staple but even more important when I am a human prune. I have been loving this Tocca one lately as it has a clean light scent and soaks into the skin quickly.

5) Face Wash

At the end of a plane ride or mid way through a car journey, I like to freshen up my washing my face. It makes me feel more awake (in the case that I need to drive) and  fresh.

6) Water Bottle
Part of project hydration is bringing a water bottle with me everywhere. I will bring it filled in the car, drink it on the way to the airport and then fill it once I pass TSA. Of course if this is a car-only journey, I try to sip the entire journey.

7) Makeup
On travel days I tend to wear minimal (if not zero) makeup. I stick to the basics of concealer and mascara, which I will generally put on right before arrival. Remember that if makeup isn’t in your travel day plans, bug sunglasses hide all sins.
*I forgot to mention hand sanitizer! I don’t normally like to use it (I’d rather use old fashioned soap) but during travel a small container is a must for dealing with airports or rest stop bathrooms.
