A Girl’s Guide to Perfect Red Lips

A Girl's Guide to Perfect Red Lips
Hi guys!

I made this quick little video to help with lipstick trials and tribulations. I hope that it is helpful and you get to rock a red lip for New Years Eve!

Take a look!

Prep Work
Using a Q-tip and some lip balm or salve, buff away any dead skin cells that may be lingering on your lips. Lipstick, especially darker colors, are not very forgiving and will cling to any dry patches.

Step 1) Liner Outline
Using small dashed lines, make a rough outline of your lips starting with the cupid’s bow, outer corners, and lower edge

Step 2) Connect The Dots
Finish the outline so you look like your 80’s double

Step 3) Fill It In
Filling in your lips with liner before adding lipstick gives the lipstick something to stick to and acts as a base and primer.

Step 4) Add Lipstick
Either straight from the tube or using a brush apply lipstick like normal, trying to stay within the liner outline.

Tip: Use the pointed edge of your lipstick to enhance and keep the shape of your cupid’s bow. The tip of the tube acts as an easy and natural guide.

Step 5) Pout Away
And your done!

Tip: For added longevity, blot your lipstick after the initial application and re-apply.
Tip: Once you think you are done applying your lips, stick a finger into your mouth, clamp down, and pull it out. This way you can get rid of any lipstick that might linger around and get on your teeth.
