Night Time Pampering

As a college student, I don’t get to go to a spa for regular facials, massages, and whatnot. Even with the aid of Groupon, I rarely get the chance to be pampered by a professional. So I take it into my own hands to have weekly ‘me time’.

I think that it is really important to take the time to unwind, relax, de-stress, whatever you want to call it once a week. For me this generally involves a hot shower, face mask, hair deep conditioning mask, and some tunes. I like to lovingly refer to my routine as Princess Bathroom Time. With the help of InstaNatural, who I have already raved about here and here, I can get in some Princess time without spending top dollar.

After showering and completely cleansing my face of makeup, I apply the Dead Sea Mud Mask with my fingertips to my face. I generally don’t cover my entire face but use the mask on my T-zone and a little onto my cheeks.
If I was doing a hair treatment, I would go ahead and apply the cream while my fact mask set and let the two work their magic jointly. Tonight however was not a hair night so I cut and shaped my nails while I waited for my face to set.
After about ten minutes, I could feel the mask tightening and knew it was time for it to come off. A quick rinse with warm water revealed that this Dead Sea Mud Mask has a lot of features in common with the Uber popular GlamGlow Supermud Clearing mask. The water used to rinse off the mask also rehydrates the mud creating little particles that act as exfoliants gently (much more gently than the GlamGlow in my opinion) buffing away dead cells on the surface of my skin.
I have been liking this mask as a gentle weekly exfoliant. It’s an incredible value as you get a 16 ounce jar for a whopping $25. Considering this is a once a week product, not bad at all.
After washing off the Dead Sea Mask, I always like to go in with a super hydrating moisturizer. This is another one by InstaNatural, the Youth Express Night Cream, that I use when I want a TON of hydration. I think that this is my favorite moisturizer to use because of how it soaks into the skin and makes my skin feel incredibly soft and plump.
After applying moisturizer (read more about my eye cream here), I’m ready for bed!

  2. I'll have to try that mask! I like a nice exfoliating cleanser then Neutrogena's smoothing night cream. There's nothing like going to bed with a clean, fresh face!
