SWEATER: Charter ClubÂ
1) Start with a deep side part and brush all your hair over to the opposite side
2) Begin a dutch braid (the outside sections go under the center section while braiding)
3) Incorporate all your hair as you braid downward.
4) Before adding in an elastic, gently pull at each loop of the completed braid to make it look thicker and fuller.
5) Tie the braid off with an elastic and you are good to go!
This has recently become one of my most worn hair styles. You know that I either a) had a bad hair day and want to hide it or b) am trying to go one more day without washing my hair whenever I rock this style. It is super easy, super quick, and always gets compliments. Test it out and let me know what you think!
I’ve also made a quick Youtube video tutorial if you want to watch and learn!
I wish I were better at braiding hair. This looks great!

Practice, practice, practice! That was the only way I learned. Thanks for reading!
Love it! I cut off all my hair into a bob so I am waiting on it to grow back out for fun dos like this one.
Thanks for reading Kate! I actually learned how to braid while I was growing out my hair from a long bob so don't think that short hair doesn't mean fun styles!
It's a really stylish hairdo. If I had longer hair, I'd have tried it! 🙂

Thanks Aishwarya! Give it a go even with short hair. Braids look really cute across the front of your hairline. I used to have short hair and would do it all the time!
I love this braid! I wish I could do this…maybe I will try it, but I doubt it will look as good as yours!
Test it out and you'll see that it is a lot easier than it looks! One of the many reasons I love this style. If you try it out tag me on social media. I'd love to see how it turns out! Thanks for reading!
Very cute! I have never been great at doing braids..takes a lot of skill it seems! Kudos to you for doing Youtube…I have not ventured there yet…chicken! Thanks for sharing!
This braid is easier than it looks. Not so much skill is needed as practice. Thanks for reading and watching!
Very cute! This looks awesome with your highlight as well 🙂
Thanks Erin!
Great timing! I had a mishap last week that left me with four staples in my head. It's in front and awkward. A side braid will cover it and hold it in place all day. I've been fooling around with trying to keep it covered for days. Thanks!
Oh my goddness, I'm sorry to hear about your accident! That's awful! I'm glad that this is able to help you out in your recovery even in this small way. Thanks for reading Robin!
Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday!
Thanks Patti! I'm glad you came over to read
I love this braid! But I need longer hair to do it on myself!:)
Thanks Lindsey! Give it a go even with short hair! I used to have a bob and it still worked for pulling back my bangs
I've never done hair like this before. Thanks so much! Can't wait to try it!
Give it a go and send me a pic or tag me on social media! I'd love to see how it looks on you! Thanks for reading!
Adorable and super easy! Love it!
Thanks for reading Michelle! I love easy to do styles!
Beautiful braid! You make it look so easy! Great post 🙂
Try it out you may find that it is way easier than it looks! That's one of the reasons I love this style. Thanks for reading Kristie!
This is great, I am terrible at doing hair and I have three little girls so I need tutorials like these. Thanks for sharing!
I'm glad this was helpful! Tag me on social media when you test out the braids. I'd love to see pictures of how the style turned out! Thanks for reading!
I always love all the braids, but need to practice a ton… mine never turn out as cute! Thanks for the step by step!
Practice, practice, practice is all it take! Send me a picture on social media when you test it out. I'd love to see how it turns out! Thanks for reading
Adorable! I have never been able to do one of these. I usually just stick to the oldie-but-goodie side braid. Haha!
Thanks for reading Miranda! There is a reason side braids are always in style 🙂
Very cute.
Thank you Debrah!
Great post. I love the side braid. It is adorable on you!
