So first off I want to say that I was totally inspired to copy this look from another blogger I love, Juliana from Blush and Camo. She has great style and amazing quality pictures. Check out her post on Cutoffs and Chambray to also get totally inspired by her to rock double denim all year round. When you head over to her site, leave a nice comment and let her know that I sent you!
The second thing I want to address in this post is my hair. I must confess that I am guilty of not taking my own hair advice these past few months. You see summer weather for me means summer running (I am totally a fair weather runner. You can read more about that and my work out routine here). This in turn means that I am washing my hair a whole lot more than in the winter when my workouts tend to get a little lax. Needless to say, I haven’t been taking the best care of my hair lately. There has been a lot of washing, blow drying, and heat styling.

So the other day I decided that I wanted to do the 4 Week No Heat Hair Challenge. The following day however I went for my run per usual, hopped in the shower, then proceeded to wash, blow dry, and curl my hair. I was half way through curling it when I remembered about my decision to not use heat on my hair. I lasted less than 24 hours. Go me.
Anyways, I really do want to start treating my hair better. I am getting it lightened in a couple weeks so I want to start the process and create the habit now. I’ve taken this week in California to come up with my favorite ways of styling my hair sans heat, so look out for that post sometime in the upcoming weeks. In these pictures, I let my hair air dry with some leave-in conditioner so you can see my natural hair texture and what I am working with on a normal basis.
What is your normal haircare routine? Are you guilty like I am of daily heat styling?
