Sometimes it’s fun to play with patterns rather than colors. Working in black and white with a side of neutrals makes it all a little less scary. I tested out pattern mixing this weekend for some simple errands and liked this look but mainly for it’s monochrome feel. This look is outside of my comfort zone as I tend to stick to solid+pattern rather than pattern+pattern and I love my color.
What makes you step outside of your fashion and style box? For me, bright lipsticks used to be a stretch but now I can’t live without them. What trends are a stretch for you? What is your out of the fashion box?

I can’t get over how simple but SO cute this look is!
Thanks Bethany!
I like how you combined both the stripes and the polka dots. Sometimes it doesn’t work but you have definitely made it work and with such simplicity.

I’m not daring enough to mix prints, but you totally rock it! I love how mixing prints looks when you use colors in the same palette.
