I’m back home from New York Fashion Week and was greeted with instant fall weather. While the temperatures were still quite high on the East coast, here in the Pacific Northwest it is definitely fall. This at least allows us to experiment with the latest fall styles and trends. All over stores and runways, fall normally brings in a new color palette with deeper colors, both earth and jewel tones. Lately I have been loving neutral earth tones rather than my normal punchy vibrant colors. I’ve been waiting to break out this rust colored dress and knew that cozy knits would be the perfect compliment to the burnt color.
This look is one that I wore the day after I returned from my trip to Seattle’s Fashion First runway show and auction. Fashion First features all local boutiques and designers without being hippie dippie but having serious fashion in mind. The runway show was preceded by an auction that benefits two local charities here in Seattle, both which work with local kids and youth. Once inside the venue, I was able to loose my cozy jacket and simple rock the dress and ankle boots. The asymmetrical hem, high neck, and side detail kept this look simple with interesting details and the color was perfect for fall fashion. What have been your favorite trends/styles/colors for fall? DRESS: TJ Maxx (similar here) // SHOES: B.P. (sold out, similar here) // SWEATER: Double Zero // LIPSTICK: Revlon Balmstain in ‘Honey’ // BAG: H&M (similar here) // WATCH: T+J Design (similar here)

Just found your blog through the Blog Engagement/Promo and so glad I did! I love this post and love the Weekly style feature, I’ll definitely be connecting with this and would definitely love to co-host in the future. Great look, the boots add an interesting punch. I know some people use snakeskin as a neutral (like cheetah or camo) and others use it as a focal point, but I quite like how it doesn’t overtake the dress but adds a level of sophistication to the look.
I love this dress and the snakeskin boots are fierce!!
