This past Sunday started as gloomy, grey, foggy, and rainy (welcome to a Pacific Northwest winter) so naturally, I felt the need to dress up in my Sunday best, if only to cheer myself up a bit. While fall is a time that every one seems to embrace plaid, flannels are simply part of the everyday Northwesterners wardrobe. So when I saw this dress on The Outnet, I knew it would be the perfect piece for me. If you are a regular reader here, you know that I’m not your typical grunge/hipster Seattleite so plaid flannel isn’t really my thing. However a silk shift dress from my favorite luxury brand that is over 50% off and also just so happens to be plaid is something that I can get behind. Are you mad for plaid? Let me know your favorite way of wearing the trend DRESS: Equipment via The Outnet // SHOES: Simply Vera Wang (sold out, very similar here) // COAT: Land’s End // BAG: H&M (in store only, similar here) // LIPSTICK: Nars ‘Heat Wave‘ // WATCH: T+J Design (similar here) // BRACELET: Stella+Dot

This dress is amazing! I love the plaid and the simple shift shape. It looks great with this camel coat too.

Thanks girl!
So cute!! I love that it’s silk instead of a heavier Fall material. The longer coat over it is perfect for the cooler weather.
Great look!

I love this pretty, more dressed-up take on the plaid trend! That dress is a great find. I love plaid, but I don’t like to get too grungy with it either–I prefer dressing it up a little.
Thank you Shea! I don’t think that dressed up plaid get enough love so I’m happy to hear that I have company!
It’s amazing how clothes can be a mood booster. I am loving that plaid dress!
