During this time of year in the Pacific Northwest, the weather is conducive to cozying up in an oversized boyfriend flannel. But the oversized, shirt and leggings just doesn’t (always) the way to go. It’s easy to rework your (or your man’s) favorite flannel into something a bit more fitting for the holidays.
Pairing a flannel top tucked into a structured skirt, like this faux leather one, balances out the slouchy relaxed fit of the flannel. Add more shape to your flannel look with a structured handbag as well. It will reinforce the idea of polish and structure rather than shapeless or sloppy in your look. Finish with some feminine accessory details like a great pair of pumps and some lipstick or some statement jewelry and you’ve re-created your look from “let me nip into the grocery” to holiday party ready!
