As we are entering winter, everyone tends to look to layers in order to stay warm but at the same time want to avoid the bulky ‘Christmas Story’ look (see here). Adding some sleek pieces as part of a layered look is a great way keep sweater, scarves, and boots from overwhelming your frame. Try adding a cropped moto jacket over a chunky knit sweater to balance out a look. A shoe with clean lines or pointed toe is another great way to elongate a look (aka visually lengthen a bulky layered up look)
For this look, I started with a thin base layer tee, layered a warm knit sweater, and finished the look with my faux leather moto jacket. It kept me warm on a winter’s day without looking overly bulky.
How do you beat the bulk of winter layers?
SWEATER: American Eagle (old, similar here) // JACKET: Forever 21 // JEANS: Paige Denim // SHOES: sold out, similar here // BAG: sold out, similar here // LIPSTICK: MAC Dubonette // SUNGLASSES: ZeroUV
Such a easy going but still very rock chic vibe. Love it!
