When I don’t know what to wear, I stick to the things I know work like monochrome. For a casual look over the weekend, I stepped away from my favorite all black and switched into an navy number. I have always loved navy for having all the pro of black without actually being black since you know I love wearing color.
But pair navy together with it’s natural pairing, grey, and you’ve a match made in heaven. Just like navy steps in for black, grey has white taking side stage. Especially for these transitional seasons, navy and grey are the color combo to wear for an instant unexpectedly stylish look.
And yes, after weeks of warmth I’m back in sweaters. Spring in Seattle is fickle like that. For that reason I also threw on this wool vest I was headed out the door. Luckily, the cut on this duster vest was perfect to show off this sweater’s (which is on massive clearance right now) delicate ruffled detail. It feels like I have little wings 😉
Are you a fan of monochrome? Would you trade in black for navy? Let me know in the comments!

I love a lot of neutral colors such as cream, nude, gray and white when trying to style a monochrome look. i would’ve never thought to pair gray and navy together! It looks gorgeous!
Thanks for reading Channing! I’m also a fan of an all neutral look
Love this “pinkish” gray with the deep blue…really striking. Sometimes less is more, and that’s case with this chic outfit!
