Her Summer Style: Style Miss Molly

Hi, I’m Molly from Style Miss Molly and I am so honored to be writing for Ana Luiza today, because I too am another Seattle blogger! I’m excited to share with you one of the most universally flattering fits of a skirt: A-line. There’s something about flared skirts that I just find extremely adorable. The flouncy, flirty nature of these skirts makes them an irresistible addition to adding a feminine touch to your look. Not to mention they can make anyone look fantastic!Style Miss Mollyhow to wear an A-line skirt

In this outfit, I’m featuring this very versatile white midi skirt. Wearing white allows you to have so many options when it comes to accessorizing and is a “go-to” in my closet. The possibilities for looks I can create with just one skirt are endless! I chose to style it with a bold and vibrant print and fun cat eye sunglasses to bring back some of those retro vibes! Read on for two reasons why every girl needs a skirt like this and three styling tips for looking your best! Style Miss Mollythe skirt every woman needs!

Why you need one:

  1. It is incredibly flattering – Because of the narrowing of the waist, this fit looks amazing on all body types. They hide problem areas and give you a slim, tailored waist. Who doesn’t want that?! I know you do, girl!
  1. It is a timeless piece – There’s a reason why the fit-and-flare will never go out of style. I’m reminded of the housewives from the 50’s who began wearing this style to show off their feminine hourglass figures. Not that I have any desire to live like a 1950’s housewife, but with a dress that looks this good on everyone, you can guarantee it won’t be going out of style.the skirt every woman NEEDS!summer styleStyling tips:
    1. Wear a form-fitting shirt or tuck it in. This will bring more definition to the waistline and create a feminine, hourglass figure you are going for.
    2. Pair it with heels to create an appearance of longer lines. A pointed toe pump is a great option for this as it elongates the lines all the way to the tip of the toe.
    3. Find the perfect length. If you are petite, I’d recommend going with a slightly shorter hemline. If you’re taller like me, a midi skirt is a great option!the perfect summer skirtwhy you need an A-line skirt

I hope you enjoyed this look as much as I loved putting it together, and that it inspires you to create your own fun summer time retro vibes!
