Tips for Mixing Feminine and Edgy Style

Happy Tuesday babes! When scrolling through Pinterest or Instagram, the looks that always catch my eye are the ones that perfectly blend of feminine and edgy style. Something about those looks always have that cool girl je ne sai quoi. After trial and error, I’ve found a formula that works for me whenever I’m striving for that perfect balance of feminine with a hint of edge.

The easiest way to blend two different styles into one look is to pick one dominate style, then add an element of the other.

For example, today I went with this gorgeous maxi dress, pink lipstick, and curls but added a black faux leather jacket on top. The overall look is feminine but the added edge of the leather jacket breaks up the floral and adds interest to the overall look.

Some things to think of when blending two different styles.
Don’t over do it. Too much of both feminine and edgy elements can be overwhelming. Picking just one as your base style will help sort this out
Make textures work for you! Just blending two different types of fabric can have the same affect of mixing two different styles without as much of the guess work.
