How To Wear The Lace Up Trend In Fall + LINKUP

Happy Fall ladies! With the turn of the season, it generally means a turn in fashion and style as well. Out with the summer dresses and in with the layers (although that doesn’t have to be the case if you remember from this post!) Well have any of you noticed that a couple trends have transitioned with the seasons?

Today of course, we’re talking about the lace up trend that is everywhere at the moment. Tops, dresses, rompers, you name it, the lace up trend is here to stay for the fall just like in the summer. So how to wear it in fall? Well I’m glad you asked…

Pick Your Piece

First off, you can wear this trend in so many different ways so you need to pick a piece. Like I said above, dresses, tops, shoes, there are tons of different lace up options to choose from as you decided how to create your look. As the temperatures were warmish here in Seattle, I opted for this breezy lace up tee shirt dress that I wore over the summer (again you can read more about ‘Fallifing’ your favorite summer dresses here). You could also choose a lace up top with various bottoms or lace up shoes with nearly any outfit.

Add Accessories

When your transitioning a trend from summer to fall, accessories can make all the difference! A pair of ankle boots and a faux leather moto jacket where the perfect pairing for this lace up dress and would also work with a lace up top. Also think about hats, scarves, bags, and other prints that add a fall feel to your outfit (I’m looking at you plaid!)

Think About Color

The color of lace up is another big factor in the fall feel of your look. Try richer, deeper colors instead of the bright shades we all love for summer.
