All you lovelies know that I love my denim. Jeans and heels are my go-to version of dressed up casual and I’ve been known to wear not just double but triple denim. But it’s not just me! We all have that great pair of jeans than make us walk a little taller.
A great piece of denim clothing is like a swiss army knife. It can work with just about anything or, in our case, any look!
But what are some denim pieces that you need besides a great pair of jeans? Well turns out there are quite a few pieces that I would list in the “Must Have” category. Keep reading to see which 6 denim pieces every woman should own!
The Classics
DENIM JACKET
I’ve said it before but everyone needs a denim jacket! (Don’t believe me? Look here and here and here to see me on my soapbox.) They are great for every season either layered over knits, paired with a summer dress, or tied around the waist just in case! You’ll be wearing this jacket for years but don’t worry about spending a fortune because this classic piece of denim comes in every price point!
SKINNY JEANS
Just about everyone has that pair of skinny jeans that fit just right. Mine are the Paige Verdugo Ankle skinny jeans and I have them in just about every color. Something about a great fitting pair of jeans can make you walk a little taller and more confidently. Pity it’s such a trial to find the right pair. Let me know in the comments what your holy grail denim is!
FLARE JEANS
Flare jeans are the latest in trend for the fall but there are more reasons than that to have a pair in your wardrobe. These pants are essential to any “style diet” as they instantly add length and shape to the wearer.
BUTTON UP SHIRT
A denim or chambray button up is a must have in everyone’s styling arsenal. Seriously though, if you don’t have one, put this at the top of your list! It can literally go with everything for a stylish look in a flash! While I might not wear one to a wedding, you can 100% make a denim shirt work for your 9-5 by adding polished pieces and accessorizing right.
DENIM DRESS
While a denim dress may seem more like a spring piece, it’s easy to wear this closet staple year round with a few styling tricks. Adding layers and boots (the colder, the taller!) are just a few simple ways to keep rocking your denim dresses well into the fall and winter without freezing.
DENIM SKIRT
A denim skirt is a great piece to have on hand for spring and summer. Pencil skirt styles are the best for a preppier feel but I say experiment! Mini or midi, you never know what style you might like!
What are your must have denim pieces? Let me know in the comments!

I love how you compare denim to a Swiss Army Knife! Brilliant! My favorite piece of denim is my flares. They’re so comfortable and flattering 🙂 x
Yay, I love this post. I can’t live without denim! Love how you styled this look 🙂
