How to Look Cute on Game Day (without Wearing a Jersey!)

So it’s game day and you want to support your team but not look like one of the boys. Since you’re here I know that you lovely ladies are interested in doing game day stylishly (or at least with an Outfit). While I’m not huge on athleisure wear, you can easily dress down for game day the right way or the wrong way. Here are some ideas to get you through the game without sacrificing style!

Dress Down (duh)

Yes it’s true, you can have a super cute outfit without being in a skirt and heels. Since it’s game day, you want to be comfortable and causal but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a third C as well and look cute! Think distressed denim, faux leather leggings, or relaxed boyfriend jeans. These more casual bottom pieces let you mix and match your tops.

STYLE TIP: if you’re going to an outdoor game, layer a pair of fleece lined leggings underneath your leather leggings for extra warmth without sacrificing style!

As far as what top to wear, you have a whole host of options open to you. Plain black or white, your team’s color, I say pick a color you love and roll with it! If you want a tee style top that isn’t a jersey, you should 100% go for a baseball tee. These are the best dress down shirts because they are comfortable, casual, but give you some wiggle room for color and style. Tuck it into your jeans waistband with a cute belt and slip into some flats for a preppy look or wear an outfit more like mine: baseball tee, long cardigan, leggings, and sneakers for a more relaxed look.

Sporty Accessories

Since you’re here, I’m guessing you are a stylish lady so you need to accessorize! Luckily sporty style has it’s own set of accessories. The easiest way to sportify your look without too much effort is adding a baseball cap. It can hide a bad hair day and support your team at the same time!

Cute Kicks are a Must!

Athleisure wear means that you can wear sneakers without anyone batting an eye. But since we are going for a cute stylish look (not I-just-left-the-gym look), opt for some cute sneakers that will probably never see a days workout. I love my Brooks Heritage for all these occasions but these Adidas are also a super popular choice right now.
