Celebrating 10K

Hey babes!

Today I just wanted to celebrate a fairly large goal I’ve been working towards for about a year. If you follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed that I (finally) hit the 10,000 follower mark!

What’s so special about that you say? Well, it has been a goal of mine ever since I started blogging more seriously. I always saw accounts with that little ‘k’ next to the number and really wanted one for myself. It really felt like a marker that says, “yes, you’re a legit blogger”. Now, have I felt like a legit blogger without that ‘k’, sure but this marker is special for me, mainly because it’s been a goal of mine for so long.

I have a love/hate/love relationship with Instagram. I love scrolling through and seeing all the lovely outfits but Instagramming towards a goal has given me serious burn out as well. It’s a struggle to not play the comparison game and to be constantly on my phone. They say comparison is the thief of joy but so is too much phone time in my opinion.

Anyways, I just wanted to take a moment to celebrate reaching goals, especially goals that seems HUGE when you first set them. Make sure to check in at this time next week, when I’ll be sharing how I beat the burn out and (finally) hit that 10,000 follower mark along with the lazy girl’s guide to making a cohesive looking feed.
