One of my good friends, Asa (from Lace and Pearls blog FYI), mentioned to me a while back how I don’t wear jeans all that often. I never really thought of it but it’s true, I don’t wear jeans very often and, brace yourselves, I don’t really like to either.
I can remember the first pair I ever owned. My class was going on a camping trip so my mom and I went and picked out a pair of jeans for me to wear since it was on the required packing list. While I remember they had embroidered flowers on one side (sound familiar?), they were SO uncomfortable. No stretch, no give, and probably didn’t fit right.
Well, that experience has colored my feelings about wearing jeans since. It doesn’t help that I already lean to the feminine side of things; if wearing a dress or skirt is even remotely an option, it’s the option I’m going to take. Don’t get me wrong, I have jeans that I wear now. About three days a week, I have the chance to wear them and there are three pairs that I’ve found, which I actually like.
I used to have a lot of luck with American Eagle jeans but in recent years not so much. These jeans tend to be mid-rise but I’ve still yet to find the needle in the denim haystack. It’s such a task to find a decent pair and I’m sure you all know the fun and delights of shopping for jeans (please note heavy sarcasm with that last)
Do you love or tolerate jeans? Which brands are your favorite? Let me know in the comments! I need more suggestions!

I really only like the Denizen jeans at Target—so much stretch and under $30. Or, I like Loft but I wait for a sale. I’m totally over paying a lot for jeans!
Those are both brands I haven’t tried. I’ll keep an eye out for those the next time I’m shopping!
