Tis the season, season for year-in-review posts and 2017 round ups. Being completely honest, I really like these sort of posts. Can you remember five things you did and/or wore in January? I can’t.
However, in an effort to not completely bore you all to tears with a full recap of my 2017, I wanted to do something a little different. Rather than doing the top post or favorite outfits, today I’m sharing my 10 most worn items of 2017. Some of these are really affordable pieces and others are high end but all of them were worn over and over (and over) again this past year. Enjoy!
10 MOST WORN ITEMS OF 2017
1. Old Navy Jeans
I was dealing with some health and weight issues in 2017 so these jeans became my friends when no other jeans would fit me. For a pair of about $20 jeans, they stretched when I needed them to stretch and tightened back up with a spin in the dryer when I was ready for them to be a little smaller. These honestly saved my style in 2017.

2. StockPlace Plaid Coat
Sadly this coat is no longer available but that didn’t stop me from wearing the heck out of it in 2017. Living in a place where most of the year is spring and fall (aka Seattle), having a selection of colorful but warm coats is a must to get me through some of those grey days. This coat was perfect for the cooler days and consistently has people stopping me on the street to ask about it.

3. Ann Taylor Red Coat
Again, I love colorful coats. This one was a second-hand find but gave new life to my closet. I love the bright accent it adds to any outfit. You guys always seem to like it as well because anytime I post on here or social media wearing this coat, it always has the biggest response.

4. Old Navy Chambray
A chambray really is the swiss army knife of anyone’s wardrobe and for that reason, it is one of my most worn pieces. I could probably do a style challenge with just this chambray button up and come up with a different way to wear it for two weeks. I love this one from Old Navy because of the fit and fabric. It’s fitted in the sense that it shows your shape without being form-fitting plus is a light breathable fabric.

5. Little Red Bag (Celine look alike)
This is probably one of my favorite ways to get a little pop of color into my outfit. For that reason it is one of the most worn items in my closet. I got this gem on Amazon a few years back and have worn it non-stop ever since. Plus it’s just the right size to carry everything I need for a day (or night) out.

6. J.Crew Trench Coat
This girl and her coats, am I right?! Well, when I wasn’t wearing something plaid or colorful it was this trench 101% of the time. It’s a classic that will never go out of style and I know that it travels well (see my packing list here) for cross-country travel to commuting into work.

7. Hunter Boots
Living in Seattle means that there are a number of days that you just have to set the heels aside and wear muck boots because #practicality. While you can always get a black pair and know that they will go with anything, in my typical fashion, I opted for this orange-red pair. These are another item that I purchased second hand and love that I went for a bright color rather than basic black.

8. Louboutin Heels
While I’m writing, I’m realizing that many of these are second-hand or thrifted pieces but especially when it comes to high-end items. While I am a self-proclaimed high heel hoarder, these heels do tend to see a bit more love than the rest. They are a classic color that goes with just about any outfit plus I can walk in them comfortably

9. Givenchy Bag
Another high-end piece that I wear on repeat almost all year long. Since it is this lovely light pearl grey color, I think I’ve been able to wear it more than if I’d opted for black. It really has become my go-to all season bag that fits my camera, cosmetics bag, wallet, plus various odds and ends without losing its shape.

10. Ankle Boots
There isn’t one singular pair that I can give credit as being my most worn because I wore about three pairs in a rotation this year. My Madewell boots (also second hand) are incredible, my Nine West wedge ankle boots were my #1 pair but were retired when the entire sole fell off (talk about well-loved right), and now these Target ankle boots are quickly becoming my most worn in winter.
