Hello ladies. I hope you enjoyed this post’s title. Since we are in the time of year that is all holidays all the time, I figured you might enjoy something completely NOT holiday-related. This is an outfit I wore a couple of weeks back. The sweater, blazer, jeans, and heels combination makes for a nice “dressed up casual” look. I’d wear this for a date night or even a casual Friday at work.
If you haven’t had the chance to go to your local Target recently, pick a weeknight (God forbid you go on a Saturday afternoon) and go check out the A New Day collection. This blazer is from the new line and I’ve been really impressed. It feels high quality but only costs around $30.
Ok, I’m going to touch on something holiday-related. It can’t be helped.
Anyone who works in any aspect of retail knows that this time of year is rough. I work in the buying office of my company and it’s been a week. I was talking to my dad earlier this week, telling him just all the different stuff that has been going on these past few weeks and how it’s been pretty nuts and stressful and he said “you realize you have 20 more days of this, right? Pace yourself.”
Pace yourself. That was something I found really helpful to hear. Occasionally we just need to hear from someone else that it’s ok to take time for ourselves, even during this time of year when there is pressure to attend parties, family functions, and always be on the go.
So this is me being that person for you. Pace yourself. Take care of yourself. Have a great weekend babes. I hope you squeeze in a little relaxing “me time” and meet me be back here Monday morning for more holiday style.

Until next time,

I love that blazer! Also pacing yourself is so important for the holidays. It’s so easy to feel overwhelmed during this time of year. It’s always great to take some time for yourself!

Thanks so much Ruth! It really is crazy this time of year and with work, it’s really hard to separate it all. I hope you are also taking time to yourself to refresh, especially with little ones
