On Monday, I talked about the ways that I work through winter when I’m really a summer girl at heart. That, however, didn’t really delve into winter style and how to survive under various coats and layer.
Personally, I’m taking this winter to really invest in my winter style. I’ve stocked up on tights, boots (both of the quality and beater variety), wool skirts, and have gone to town on layering pieces (I can’t stop talking about these base layers). Overall, I know that I’ll feel better, happier, and less depressed (a seasonal problem for me) when I put some effort into how I dress. So when it’s raining and I’m awakened at 5:30am, I try to remember that yes, it is in my best interest to get up and dressed.
So far I’ve learned that all the above holds true. Plus I’ve picked up a few tricks of the trade regarding layering and how not all tights are created equal along with a few other things.
I hope to share all my winter style findings with you all over the next month or so but I’d love to hear from you. How do you deal with the elements? What are your tricks and tips to beating the winter style blues? – xoxo
Until next time,
Ana Luiza
