We are in that sweet spot of the summer when the weather has a little chill in the mornings, is sunny and warm in the afternoons, and is incredibly comfortable in the evenings. While I know few places around the country (and the world) have as temperate a climate as the Pacific Northwest, summer in Seattle really is the best time of year.
This perfect weather pattern means that we are also in a sweet spot for style. This moment of the summer is what I think of as shorts and sweater weather. Too warm for jeans and a sweater, not quite warm enough for shorts and tee shirts. This leaves us with the perfect mix and match situation.
While I’m not normally a huge shorts fan (I only own this one pair), I will wear this uniform for our evenings at the beach quite regularly during the summer months. It’s perfect for keeping warm when there is a breeze coming up off the water as the sun sets.

Aw, this outfit is so adorable! You look great in shorts. I am totally a denim shorts girl all summer long and I do love to pair my shorts with a sweater and booties. But kimonos are my absolute go-to with denim shorts.

I’m all about the sweater and shorts combo since Seattle can have it’s warm/chilly moments in summer. It’s hard to find shorts that are the right length. When I do I try to buy them in multiples!
