Since we are officially in June and spring is starting to wind into summer (although someone should tell my allergies that), I wanted to share my three most worn spring accessories. These are items that I’m happy I invested in as I’ve reached for them over and over (and over) again. Just keep reading to hear more about my top 3 most worn spring accessories.
My Top 3 Most Worn Spring Accessories
1) Hunter Rain Boots
First off are my Hunter “wellie” rain boots. While I borrowed my friend Megan’s adorable pink pair for the day, I reached for my orange pair countless times this spring. Living in a place like Seattle, world-famous for its grey drizzle, a solid pair of rain boots are a natural addition to any mudroom. From running to get the mail to tromping through muddy tulip fields, my Hunters had their work cut out for them this spring.
While I’ve had countless pairs of rain boots in the past, my Hunter boots have managed to outlast just about any other pair I’ve owned. I even purchased mine secondhand and they still are in excellent condition (but could perhaps use a good cleaning). You might balk at paying over $100 for a pair of rain boots, I know I did, but the quality really is worth it. If anything, try to find a gently used pair on sites like Poshmark and get the best of both worlds.
One final note on Hunter boots, while it may be tempting to get straight black to be able to match your boots to any outfit, I highly recommend opting for a bright colorful pair. I had doubts about my orange pair but the simple joy of a bright fun color on my feet has helped me through some of the wettest, greyest days.
2) Trench Coat
It’s no wonder my J.Crew trench coat made the list as a most worn item since it was also one of my Spring Style Essentials. When we are between seasons and the heavy warmth of a winter coat is too much, but a light denim jacket just won’t cut it, what’s a stylista to do? Reach for her trench coat. I reached for mine just about every single day this spring and I probably will go into the summer. It’s just the classic wardrobe staple that will never go out of style. It also will keep you dry if you get caught in any April showers or as I call them here in Seattle March-April-May showers
3) Pink Handbag
Finally, my pink Prada bag deserves a shout-out. This handbag tends to sit in its dust bag all winter gathering dust and, annually, I worry that I should have picked a more practical color like black or brown for an investment handbag. Well once the flowers start blooming, I get more than my money’s worth from this pastel pink bag. I wear it basically a day in and day out to match with all the blooms I see (and wear) this time of year. If you ever are considering opting for a pastel handbag, go for it! Black and brown can get you through fall and winter but allow yourself the joy of color for springtime (especially if you can get it secondhand AND discounted as I did)
Here are some other honorable mentions that got a lot of love this spring. My crop flare jeans that I’m wearing as I type (see them here and here), my sling-back heels that I wear for both work and weekend (see here), and my Banana Republic wrap dress (see it here).

You could have gone four great accessories because that hat is also a perfect staple for the season. Great look
I love your tips! Rain boots are a must here in Seattle and I think getting a pair that are going to last is key. I also love a good trench coat and finally found one that fits my petite height. I think a fun accessory is a must have to bring in some color to your spring wardrobe!
