I’ve recently been thinking about the pieces in my wardrobe that get the most love. These are a handful that I wear on repeat, mix and match, and just regularly love on. All these pieces have the same thing in common; they are timeless wardrobe classics that never really go out of style.
If you want to add a little Northwest Blonde touch to your wardrobe, consider pulling out these five timeless style staples to wear either alone or together.
1) Camel Blazer
If you don’t have one yet, consider investing in a camel colored blazer (link to past post). This is such and easy third piece that you can throw on to dress up jeans but also wear to work. I love that you can find a blazer like this one without it costing a fortune as well. Mine was a thrift store find if you can believe it but you can find fantastic options at stores like J.Crew Factory, H&M, and Nordstrom
2) Stripes
If there’s one print or pattern that has truly lasted the test of time, it’s stripes. A simple black and white stripe tee is an easy go-to that will just as easily serve your business casual work wardrobe as well as your weekend. Pair it with jeans, pencil skirts, trousers, culottes, you name it and no one will be able to fault your look. Plus this versatile print works year round with simple tees in the summer to tissue turtlenecks in the winter.
3) A little leopard print
Another print that is a timeless staple I can’t stop wearing is leopard print. It’s one that ladies throughout the years have worn when they want a little something fierce and wild. While I’m not one to wear it from head to toe, I do love a pop of leopard somewhere. A blouse or sweater? maybe in your shoes or clutch?
4) Red lipstick
I’ve basically gotten rid of all my other lipstick colors aside from red. Granted I have quite a few red lipsticks (blue reds, holiday reds, hot tomato reds, orange reds) but I mainly stick to red. It adds a little color into my face and doesn’t require a huge amount of additional makeup to make it a look.

5) Structured handbag
Finally, you may have noticed that most NWBlonde looks include a handbag. Specifically a structured handbag. Why? They generally look more polished in my opinion versus something that flops around and can’t keep its shape. Aside from a handy carry-all work tote, a structured bag can elevate your look in moments.
Other honorable mentions:
- chambray anything
- loafers
- affordable denim
What are your style staples? Do you have any I should add to my list?

I have all of these in my wardrobe and adore your classic style. I pulled out my camel blazer yesterday as the temps dropped enough for me to wear it.
