Earlier this month, a couple girlfriends and I headed out of a little weekend adventure to visit a pumpkin patch in the name of fun fall activities. This is all part of my strategy to embrace fall this year rather than reject it outright simply because it’s not summer. We ended up getting a little rained on but what can you expect for the Pacific Northwest in October. We were just lucky it didn’t end up being a total downpour.
My poor Madewell ankle boots ended this trip by, sadly, waving the white flag of defeat. I purchased these second hand several years ago and they have weathered all sorts of bad weather and finally a last trip to a somewhat muddy pumpkin patch. So ever since I’ve been keeping my eyes peeled for a new pair. Below are some of the contenders that I’ve found so far. These would mostly fall into the category of “beater boots” as my mom calls them (aka shoes that you can wear day-in and day-out for a couple seasons and not feel bad when they fall apart) but there are other options that are seriously good value. I’m particularly interested in the Blondo weatherproofed ankle boots.
If you have any favorites or suggestions, don’t hesitate to let me know!
Until next time,
Ana Luiza

That coat is so cute. Perfect for fall.
Oh those poor little boots. I hope you find a pair that you love. Boots are hard for me because I always want them to be a classic. I just love your plaid coat!
