COAT: old, Express (I found this at a local consignment store last year but there are several similar styles out this year. This one is almost identical as is this one plus it’s on sale) // DRESS: Zara, not maternity (I picked this up during their summer sale but this one is very similar in style and price point) // BOOTS: old, Target (I picked these to be my wear-and-tear winter boots last year but they’ve held up remarkably well. They are basically plastic which makes them fantastic for our wet Seattle winters. These Blondo ankle boots look like really promising weatherproof boots if you are looking for significantly higher quality.) // BAG: Old Navy (This is my work tote. If you’re looking for something higher quality, you might want to try this popular reversible option) // SCARF: J.Jill c/o (This scarf is incredibly soft and warm. It’s a little pricier than I’d normally go for but it would make an incredible gift for someone who loves to be cozy)
Last week I was invited by my friend Jenn to attend the Enchant Christmas Seattle with her and our friend Megan. I received a bunch of questions about it after posting to Instagram so I thought I’d address some of them here.
Enchant is an indoor Christmas activity hall that was set up inside Safeco Field (the professional baseball stadium here in Seattle). There are different activities going on but the main attraction of Enchant is the indoor light maze.
The light maze takes up a majority of the field and is really something to see. Take all the Christmas lights in your neighborhood, put them in one place together, and you’ve got Enchant Christmas. It’s pretty spectacular.
Especially in a city like Seattle where December can bring days upon days of lashing rain, having a covered venue is a blessing. The day I attended with my girlfriends it was raining cats and dogs so even though it wasn’t warm, just being out of the rain was quite nice.
The light maze isn’t the only attraction of Enchant Christmas. There is also an ice-skating trail, a main stage with performances, vendor booths selling everything from food to jewelry, and of course, Santa. Plus, there are themed days throughout the month of December. the 27th is Paws and Claus, where people can bring their dogs to Enchant for pictures with Santa. There are also specific kid friendly days with entertainment catered to families with little kids even though Enchant is an overall family friendly event.
Overall Enchant made for a fun girl’s night out. I could see that it might be a good winter date night activity as well. This is the first year of Enchant here in Seattle, so I’d recommend that you check it out. They haven’t announced if they’ll be back again next year, so this might be your chance to see a pretty incredible light display up close and personal. Just remember to pack your patience because like everything holiday related, it can get pretty busy.

As far as what I wore, I went to Enchant direct from the office, so you can get a glimpse at my typical work wear. A long sleeve midi dress like this one has become a staple in my wardrobe, especially with my getting more pregnant every day. I have three that I’ve been wearing in rotation (this olive green one and this royal blue one).
One thing that people never mention about fall and winter pregnancies is that, at some point, your coats will no longer fit. Sadly, this is the case with my favorite holiday red coat from last year. I’ve considered getting this nearly identical version in a larger size for this year but the practical side of me can’t handle that. Only two more months then I’ll be back in my regular clothes…I hope!
What’s your favorite Christmas activity? Do you go cut down a tree? Check out lighting displays? Let me know in the comments!
Until next time,
Ana Luiza
