Chambray Bow Pants

PANTS: J.Crew Factory (I LOVE these pants! They are incredibly comfortable and I really like the bow detail on the front. They do run a bit large so if you’re in between sizes, size down!)// SHIRT: J.Crew c/o (This striped boatneck shirt is a staple in any wardrobe. I wore my old one so much while I was pregnant that I stretched it out and had to replace it. I honestly can’t live without it) // CARDIGAN: J.Crew c/o (This is a nice staple cardigan for all you ladies who get cold often. I have one of these that used to live at my office during the summer when the AC was blasting. This style comes in a couple of different colors as well as without the eyelet cutouts. I’m wearing a medium.) // SHOES: Jeffrey Campbell (I love these flats but heads up they do slip off my heels for the first 20 minutes of wearing them. These seem like they’d be similar and also come in several cute prints)// BAG: Prada (Again, this is a designer item that I purchased second hand. I love Fashionphile for second-hand designer handbags as they can authenticate them and always have very reasonable prices)// SUNGLASSES: Amazon (These are some of the only sunglasses I own because for $10 they can’t be beat. Especially by someone notorious for sitting on and breaking sunglasses.)

Happy Monday ladies! We had a bit of a week last week around here. The baby was going through a growth spurt and was grumpy and wasn’t sleeping as much, meaning mom wasn’t sleeping either. It seems like we’ve gone over the hump though and the Creighton’s are back to sleeping (almost) all night long.

Since I wasn’t in any state to be around other people, I had to cancel some plans with friends during the week but the previous weekend my girlfriends (Jenn, Megan, and Asa) and I were able to meet for brunch and snapped these photos. Several of the pieces that I’m wearing in these photos are currently on super sale for under $50 so I thought I’d take you through them if you are looking to take advantage of a REALLY good sale.

Wide Leg Chambray Bow Pants

You’ll probably see a lot more of these pants here on Northwest Blonde. I can’t quite explain how comfortable they are, plus the bow detail on the front makes me feel a lot more dressed up than just wearing a pair of jeans. They run fairly true to size. I went up to a size 6 because #postpartumbody but I probably should have gone with my usual size 4. The one thing I will say is that they do crease fairly quickly. The creases you can see in these photos are from minimal sitting in my car.

Striped Boatneck Shirt

This is a staple piece in my closet that I can’t stop wearing. I wore it so much while I was pregnant that I stretched it out and had to replace it. Oops! It’s another item that runs true to size. I’m wearing a medium here for a slightly looser fit. It’s currently on sale at 40% off and is also under $50. If you want one stripe shirt that will multitask in your wardrobe, this is one for you.

Eyelet Jackie Cardigan

This is another staple that I own in several solid colors. It’s a classic fitted cardigan that is ideal for tossing into your work bag if your office is overly air-conditioned (Mine regularly feels like the arctic). This one has eyelet cut out details along the front and sleeves that give it a little more of a feminine touch in my opinion. It also comes in a lilacy-pink color as well as a robin’s egg blue. It’s on sale for 60% off, bringing the price down to under $50 as well.
