Back in October, I shared a reader survey that many of you were kind enough to fill out. One thing that a majority of people said was that they wanted to see more real-life images versus just edited ones taken with a professional camera. So I wanted to start a new series on here where I share just simple iPhone snapshots of my everyday outfits. I’ve already started sharing them on my Instagram Story (almost) daily along with linking everything on the LiketoKnow.it app for easy shopping. I figured for those of you who aren’t on Instagram, I’d go ahead and highlight those day-to-day outfits here once a month or so.
COAT: Nordstrom (This coat is a fantastic find for only $38 and is back in stock! I love this coat for in-between seasons here in Seattle. So much that I have an entire review dedicated to it. I sized up to a large since I was pregnant when I bought it but a medium would be better now.) // SWEATER: old J.Jill c/o (I love a good cable knit sweater and this one doesn’t disappoint. Sadly it’s out of stock. This one looks pretty similar to mine and this one also looks very promising) // JEANS: Old Navy (These are my favorite affordable pair of jeans. They are soft, comfortable, and flattering for under $50. Plus they are almost always on sale! I also have an entire post dedicated to reviewing these jeans here.) // BOOTS: Stuart Weitzman (I love these boots so much but they come with a hefty price tag. Any of these boots would make a great alternative if you don’t want the designer price tag. You can also find these Stuart Weitzman’s secondhand, like I did if you are looking for the designer level quality without as big a pricetag.)// BAG: Old Navy (This bag has held up surprisingly well for the price. If you’re looking for another affordable option that is a little higher quality, try this reversible option)
SWEATSHIRT: J.Crew (I had this sweater on my wishlist for a while and I’m so happy I finally snagged it. J.Crew has a bunch of these cute graphic sweatshirts that are nice for casual days) // JEANS: J.Jill c/o (These are actually denim leggings but you could never tell by looking at them. They look like skinny jeans and feel like skinny jeans only I’d recommend sizing down. You can read the entire review I wrote on them here.) // SNEAKERS: Converse (I don’t often wear sneakers out and about but when I do, it’s normally these Converse. They are just a simple classic shoe that is easy to throw on. I wear US size 6.5 in Converse but I’m normally a 7 or 7.5) // BAG: Old Navy (This bag has held up surprisingly well for the price. If you’re looking for another affordable option that is a little higher quality, I’d try this reversible option) // SUNGLASSES: Amazon (These are some of the only sunglasses I own because for $10 they can’t be beat. Especially by someone notorious for sitting on and breaking sunglasses.)
SHIRT: J.Crew (This is a super soft faux wrap top and they mean it when they say super soft! It feels like cozy pajamas but looks respectable. There are only a few sizes left so snag one while you can. Here is the J.Crew Factory version) // JEANS: American Eagle (These jeans back this year and they are currently on sale for $29! I’m not one for distressed denim normally but I really love this pair and can’t stop wearing them.) // BAG: J.Crew (Totally worth the $8 if you’re like me and carry a tote bag just about everywhere you. It’s a fun alternative to your standard brown or canvas tote) // SHOES: Chloe (These shoes are pricey but the leather feels like butter on your feet. It’s close to walking barefoot. I got mine secondhand to bring the cost down a little.)
SWEATSHIRT: J.Crew (I had this sweater on my wishlist for a while and I’m so happy I finally snagged it. J.Crew has a bunch of these cute graphic sweatshirts that are nice for casual days) // JEANS: American Eagle (These jeans back this year and they are currently on sale for $29! I’m not one for distressed denim normally but I really love this pair and can’t stop wearing them.) // SHOES: Chanel (These are another secondhand item that are worth the money in my opinion. I just love that they are a classic staple and go with anything. However that being said, these look very similar but without the designer pricetag.)// BAG: J.Crew (Totally worth the $8 if you’re like me and carry a tote bag just about everywhere you. It’s a fun alternative to your standard brown or plain canvas tote)
BLAZER: J.Crew (it’s so comfortable and goes with just about anything. I’ve purchased it in multiple colors and have an entire review on it here. Sizing note, it does run very large. I purchased a XS and it fits well where I’d normally be a small or medium) // BLOUSE: J.Crew (This is a new addition to my wardrobe and I’m so happy about it. It’s machine washable but looks and feels like a silk blouse. I sized up to a 6 when I’m normally a 2 or 4) // JEANS: J.Jill c/o (These are actually denim leggings but you could never tell by looking at them. They look like skinny jeans and feel like skinny jeans only I’d recommend sizing down. You can read the entire review I wrote on them here.) // SHOES: Chanel (These are another secondhand item that are worth the money in my opinion. Especially by someone notorious for sitting on and breaking sunglasses.) // BAG: Prada (Again, this is a designer item that I purchased second hand. I love Fashionphile for second-hand designer handbags as they can authenticate them and always have very reasonable prices)

I sized up to a large since I was pregnant when I bought it but a medium would be better now.) // SWEATER: old H&M (This is a simple sweater that I’ve been loving for wearing while breast feeding. It’s also ideal for spring when it’s cool in the morning but warms through the day. Here you can find some very similar options) // JEANS: American Eagle (These jeans back this year and they are currently on sale for $29! I’m not one for distressed denim normally but I really love this pair and can’t stop wearing them.) // BAG: J.Crew (Totally worth the $8 if you’re like me and carry a tote bag just about everywhere you. They came out with a new version this year with lace sleeves instead of eyelet) // CARDIGAN: J.Crew c/o (This is a nice staple cardigan for all you ladies who get cold often. I have one of these that used to live at my office during the summer when the AC was blasting. This style comes in a couple of different colors as well as without the eyelet cutouts. I’m wearing a medium.) // SKIRT: J.Crew c/o (I love these pencil skirts and have them in several colors. They fit true to size and have a little give in them so you don’t feel like you’ve been poured into it. They are a staple in my work wardrobe all year round. This exact print also comes in blue gingham. I’m wearing a size 4.) // SHOES: Jeffrey Campbell (I love these flats but they do slip off my heels for the first 20 minutes of wearing them. These seem like they’d be similar and also come in several cute prints)// BAG: Prada (Again, this is a designer item that I purchased second hand. I love Fashionphile for second-hand designer handbags as they can authenticate them and always have very reasonable prices)// SUNGLASSES: Amazon (These are some of the only sunglasses I own because for $10 they can’t be beat. In other news, I’m bringing Start the Week Stylish linkup back! I know it took a bit of a hiatus but I can’t wait to see you share your looks with me again.
Until next time,
Ana Luiza
Love that pink plaid skirt. Really cute. Doing a reader survey was a great idea. I should definitely do something like that at some point.
Thanks Julie! It fits really well too! Also, I’d definitely recommend doing a survey. They can be pretty eye opening as to what people want to see.

Love these candid shots and looks. I am especially loving the polka dot blouse and that pink/white pencil skirt is amazing.

That polka dot blouse is seriously so nice! It feels and looks like silk but is machine washable!
