It’s after 12 pm and I’m just getting to today’s post. Better late than never, right?
We got back from NYC Wednesday night and I just ended up going straight to bed as soon as we got home and settled for the night. It was a fantastic trip if a little too short for my taste. I’m going to have a full detailed post all about our trip going live this weekend but today I only have the bandwidth to share the details of what I wore while we were there.
While it is 100% fall here in Seattle, it was still summer weather in NYC. In fact, the first official day of fall had a high of 89 degrees and was the hottest day of our trip. For that reason, I was able to get a last little bit of love out of my summer clothes so most of these are outfits that you’ve seen before. Like all my travel outfits, these are items that don’t wrinkle easily and can suffer through long travel days and come out the other end unscathed.
TRAVEL DAY: Abercrombie Skinny Jeans (these are fantastic high waisted jeans that hide my mommy-belly. Plus they are only $40) // stripe shirt (it’s a staple in my wardrobe and it was a great layering piece for the plane) // pink Sweater Blazer (I love this sweater blazer and it was a great topper for the plane although I’ll admit, pink might not have been the best color. I need to hit it with some stain remover after the trip home…See the full review here) // Sperry seaport loafers (these are the most comfortable shoes I own. I walked 5 miles in them one day and didn’t have a single blister. You can see my full review here)
DAY 1: similar leopard print dress // similar short heeled sandals (I wore these sandals basically the whole trip except for the travel days. My feet were a little wore out but that was mainly due to the heat and the miles walked) // Longchamps Le Pilage bag (I’ve been using it as a baby bag since it holds everything I need for Teddy plus it zips closed which is a must for travel)
DAY 2: similar eyelet tee shirt // similar polka dot skirt (you can find my exact one second hand here) // similar short heeled sandals (I wore these sandals basically the whole trip except for the travel days. My feet were a little wore out but that was mainly due to the heat and the miles walked) // similar brown belt
DAY 3: I ended up not getting any decent pictures in this outfit but I wore my short sandals and my wear everywhere polka dot dress. This one looks almost exactly the same.
