Just a quick PSA today that my favorite plaid blazer is back in stock! This is the School Boy blazer style from J.Crew Factory. They regularly re-release this blazer style in a fun seasonal color or print and they are FINALLY doing tartan plaid again! I suggest that you snap one up quick because sizes will go fast.
A bit more on the J.Crew Factory schoolboy blazer. It runs fairly TTS if a smidge small. I own it in size 6 and I have space to wear a thin cashmere sweater underneath. As you can see it fits my fairly standard frame really well. Unfortunately, this style doesn’t come in petite or tall sizes so if you generally need a little more or a little less sleeve, this style might not fit you as well without a little tailoring.
Sizing notes: I’m 5’5″ and around 140lbs. I have a standard pear shape frame. I generally wear size 27 or 28 in jeans, 4 or 6 in dresses, and medium in tops.
This special seasonal pattern goes for just under $100. The solid standard colors, camel, black, and navy are around $70 (those are available in petite sizes). In my opinion, it’s a fairly good deal for the quality. The buttons aren’t the highest quality but the fabric of the coat itself is very nice. J.Crew Factory also has fairly regular sales, more so with the upcoming holiday season, so if you can wait and grab it on sale, that might be an even better deal.
