In a very scientific poll of my friends and just observing via the internet, I think I can safely say that most of us have started dressing much more casually since we started social distancing at home. I know I have! Maybe once or twice a week, I’ll actually get dressed into something other than exercise clothes or sweat pants. Since I’m just home all day with Teddy, it’s easy and convenient to wear workout gear or sweats since I’m covered in toddler grime by the end of the day.
So since we’ll all be rocking loungewear for the time being, why not just lean into it? Here is some of the best loungewear for women that will keep you (mostly) out of pajamas while social distancing.
Best Loungewear for Women
JUMPSUITS
These are a great option since they aren’t pajamas but still so comfortable and easy. This Lou & Grey pair is so insanely comfortable (I tried it on in-store months ago) I’m tempted to get it for myself even though I’m not in the market for a new jumpsuit right now.
JOGGERS
Sweatpants that don’t look like sweatpants. Joggers really took off once athleisure became mainstream and I get it. They are a hybrid of leggings and sweatpants that meet somewhere in the middle. Not skin tight but not baggy and sloppy either.
PULL ON PANTS
Ok, maybe you do want to wear real pants but still want to be comfortable. Might I guide you towards the J.Crew Factory Jamie pull-on pants? They are super comfortable with an elastic waistband and feel like silky pjs but are actually 100% office appropriate. I’ve ranted, raved, and gushed about them several times and still stand by them as a comfortable staple.
LEGGINGS
Is it weird that I have athletic leggings and they are different from my hang-out-at-home leggings? These Old Navy leggings are great if you are doing cardio or weights but for lounging at home, these Zella leggings are cult favorites.
PAJAMAS
We’re home all day every day for the foreseeable future so why not just call a spade a spade and wear PJs? No one will judge you.
SWEATERS & CARDIGANS
Leggings or sweats on the bottom but what to wear on top? Personally, I’ve been wearing these semi-fitted sweatshirts A LOT these days.
SHOES (not just slippers)
To go with all the casual clothes, some comfy shoes are also called for right? Personally, I’ve been getting plenty of wear out of my $30 “Ugg-like” slippers but I’ve also been wearing sneakers a lot more too.
