Guys, it has been a week and it’s only Thursday! Here in the state of Washington, our governor announced another month of stay at home orders, our internet was on and off Monday and Tuesday, Teddy had to go to the doctor for his 15-month appointment and shots, and I hurt my back running and haven’t been working out for a week. I know working out isn’t something some people consider vital to their daily life but it’s the best stress relief for me and I miss it SO BAD!
Anyways, since I have felt like a bit of a negative Nancy for the first half of the week, I thought I’d focus on the positive today and share another installment of ‘What I’m Loving’
Here we go!
Quote of the Week: “How liberating it is to pursue wholeness instead of perfection” Morgan Harper Nicoles
Things that Make Me Happy: I cut Andrew’s hair a couple of weeks ago and I’m still chuckling about it. I watched a couple of Youtube videos beforehand and overall it went pretty well. He also shaved off his beard into just a ‘stache.
Also, it’s finally starting to warm up around here! One day this week I was able to wear a dress without a cardigan on top. I love summer and cannot wait. It’s the best time of year in the Northwest.
What I’m Eating and Drinking: I have been going to the Starbucks drive-through a couple of times a week just to get out of the house. I get the peach iced tea lemonade with no ice. Then I go home and add a whole can of lemon seltzer. It’s so tasty! I’m going to get all the pieces and try to make it at home so I’m not paying $4 for a beverage.
What I’m Watching/Listening: I started listening to the podcast “Dolly Parton’s America” and it’s SO GOOD! If you aren’t already a fan of Dolly Parton, you will be by the end of this show. It’s only nine episodes and has nothing to do with current events. Check and check. Look under “Bingeable Listens” in the podcast app.
I also started watching Barry on HBO. It’s one of the shows and movies that they are letting you stream free without a subscription. Overall it’s good. I’m a fan of Bill Hader and he’s great on the show. While it has comedic moments, it’s also pretty dark and gets more so throughout the season.
What’s in My Cart: I’m not shopping for anything at the moment really. I “need” to look for another pair of running shoes. Mine have seen many miles and are probably due for retirement. Aside from that, I’ve been thinking of getting these sandals. I don’t have any at the moment and I would like to have a pair for the summer.
How I’m Sweating: I’m still training for the #quaRUNtine half marathon later this month. I’ve gotten into double digits for my long runs which is always a giant mental accomplishment. I’ve also streamed a few High Fitness classes as well. There is a corporate live stream you can access here and my friend Ali teaches twice a week for free on Zoom and you can find her here.
