Here’s the Cole Haan GrandPro tennis shoe review that I’ve been promising all week! I discovered these Cole Haan sneakers when I saw a handful of New York City Ballet dancers wearing them. They had signed on to be Cole Haan ambassadors so I was instantly interested. Dancers work hours a day on their feet so I figured these shoes had to be both comfortable and supportive.
Well, these GrandPro tennis shoes do not disappoint! I really do like almost everything about them. The only drawback is the price. But we’ll get into that in a minute.

SIZING
Overall I think that these run fairly true to size. However, I’m often between sizes when it comes to shoes and I think that I probably should have sized down half a size.
When I tried them on initially, I thought that I’d need a size 7.5 but when I ordered them the 7.5 seemed a little large. I was probably wearing thicker socks that first day. Since I’ve been wearing these with thin no-show socks, I can easily wear a size 7.
That was a rambly way of saying, order your normal size unless you’re normally in-between sizes. In that case, size down half a size.
COMFORT
The thing that I love most about these sneakers is just how comfortable they are. Lightweight with a cushioned footbed, they are so easy to wear for long hours. I imagine that these would be incredible travel shoes for that very reason. When I first tried these on, I was amazed at how light they were. Like the box felt as if only one shoe was in there instead of two.
They took under a day to break in. I had a little bit of rubbing and that was all. I think that if you wear these with thin socks, you’ll notice more rubbing the first few wears. After that, I haven’t had a single complaint!
PRICE
These are not cheap. They retail for $130 and rarely go on sale. The seasonal colors will go on sale more readily than all black or all white pairs, which I’ve only ever seen go on sale about twice a year.
Are they worth the full $130? Well, think about the cost per wear. Are you going to be wearing them for years or is it just a passing trendy item for you? If you can see yourself wearing them often, then yes, I do think they are worth the money.
If you are looking for an all-white sneaker that is under $100, you might want to consider the Trenton Nylite. They are all canvas and a little retro blast from the past. You can choose from all-white styles to a little bit of color on the logo.
COLORS
The GrandPro tennis shoe comes in two standard colors year-round, black and white. There are variations that come out seasonally. I’ve seen blush pink, leopard print, snakeskin, and laser cut. The men’s styles come in other colors like navy and cognac.
