A year and a half later, I still haven’t shared any of Ted’s nursery yet with you guys. I didn’t get it totally set up before he was born (we had some serious battles over what furniture to get for the room) and now it’s constantly in use so I never make the time to stage and shoot pictures of it. And to be completely honest, it’s still not decorated and finished up. The closet still needs work and I haven’t hung any art or shelving. One day I’ll get to it. Hopefully, before he starts school!
But today I wanted to show you one little section. Specifically the personalized items we have for him. We’ve been lucky enough to be gifted quite a few personalized and monogrammed items for Teddy. Some were gifted at his baby shower and others for Christmas and his first birthday. The thing all these pieces have in common is that they were done by the same women. La-Ze Bee Embroidery is a monogram business here in Seattle and I’m in love with all the pieces she’s made for Ted.
First is the classic initial monogram pillow and baby blanket. These were given to me as a gift at my baby shower before we had a middle name picked out, hence the two-letter initials rather than the traditional three-letter. I used both of these decoratively in the crib before he was sleeping in it. After he started sleeping in the crib, I moved both over to the stuffed chair I have in the room. Now he’ll occasionally use the blanket but the pillow is still such a pretty touch to the room.
The newest item is this little toddler backpack. I posted a picture of him wearing this around the house a couple of weeks ago on Instagram so you know he loves it. I love it too! We use it to keep his snacks and water bottle when we go on little day trips or longer outings with him. It straps on across the chest so it doesn’t fall off and it comes with a leash that hooks on back handle. I never totally understood leash kids until I had a toddler. Now it totally makes sense.
Finally, he also has a personalized baseball cap. I love it so much but he will not keep it on longer than a few seconds. It has an adjustable band in the back so it can grow with him for several years.
