My yellow eyelet top that I wore a bunch last year is back! I love this shirt so much and wore it so often last year that I have it in two colors, white and yellow. I would have also gone for the pink as well but it sold out first. But good news, J.Crew Factory brought it back and it’s even more affordable than last year.
I love wearing yellow even if it doesn’t perfectly suit my complexion. Whether it’s a bright sunshine yellow in the summer or deeper mustard in the fall, it’s a happy color that naturally boosts my mood and reminds me of happy sunny days even when it’s grey out. I feel so passionate about this topic that I actually wrote a blog post about it back in 2017.
J.Crew Factory has a bunch of other great items for fall right now. These faux-croc loafers, this elevated tee shirt, and a leopard print sweater blazer currently in my cart. They all seem so perfect for the more casual fall we have ahead of us.
The rest of my outfit (one I repeated frequently last year) are also favorites that I still love and wear.
A&F Skinny Jeans
If you haven’t shopped at Abercrombie since the early 2000s, you should give them another look. I got these jeans there are they are amazing! These are high rise, super stretchy jeans that come in eight washes, three inseams, and are under $100. They held in my new mom belly without feeling constricting and they don’t stretch out either, which amazes me since I have complete range of motion in them. I got mine on sale for $40 and they do go on sale pretty often. Full retail is under $100.
Madewell Frances Loafers
These are my go-to fall shoes. They are comfortable and they look good with almost everything in my day to day wardrobe. Brown loafers instantly match my brown tote bag. Loafers make me feel dressed up when I’m cleaning up after a baby all day long. They make me feel like I’ve got my life together even though I’m wearing the same outfit several days in a row. Who doesn’t need that kind of support in their lives?
They run fairly TTS but if you’re in between sizes, I’d go up a half size because they do start out fairly narrow. If you want more details about sizing, fit, price, and other colors/patterns, I have a full in-depth review here.
Coach ‘City Girl’ Bag
This was actually my grandmother’s purse that she gave to me before she died. It’s vintage from Coach’s original launch of the bag. Coach has since brought back a new version of this style but you can still find the old ones on Poshmark and eBay. It’s a classic and will last you a lifetime.
