Happy Monday all! I hope that you had a good weekend. Here in Seattle, it was surprisingly warm and sunny for December. Some highlights from the Creighton household include putting the Christmas lights up on the house (thanks Andrew), starting Wild Wild Country on Netflix (yes, I know we are about 3 years behind the tv trends), and Andrew made homemade falafel and hummus for our Sunday dinner.
I wanted to put this $30 flannel shirt on your radar. I was surprised at how soft and cozy it was for only $30. But let’s be honest, it’s Old Navy so you can easily wait a couple of days and get it on sale. Especially this time of year.
It also comes in a handful of colors and patterns. I found it in this lovely Stewart plaid that is perfect for winter and the holiday season. Especially this year when most of our holiday celebrations are going to be very casual at home affairs.
I feel like this combination of cable knit, flannel, and denim is the perfect mix for a casual winter flannel outfit. The layers of textures play nicely together and keep you warm as well. I’ll probably be repeating some version of these for the next several weeks.

Wide Leg Jeans
These wide-leg jeans are from J.Crew over the summer but Madewell released a similar style, minus the bow. They call it the slim wide-leg crop jean. Everlane also has a popular wide-leg crop pant that has a large following. Personally, I prefer the J.Crew/Madewell version simply because they are a slightly slimmer cut.
Cable Knit Cardigan
Sadly, this chunky cable knit sold out but there are a handful of other great options out there. I’m so happy to see cable knit sweaters coming back into mainstream fashion. We all know that I love a good cable knit. Another great option for a chunky cable knit cardigan is this one from Target. This one from Madewell is a great option if you want something a little less bulky.
Cole Haan Sneakers
I wore these sneakers all summer and fell in love. I still love them especially for more casual outfits and for running after a toddler. They are lightweight leather sneakers that are just so comfortable. Aside from the price, I can’t say anything bad about them.

Faux Leather Tote Bag
I’m kind of shocked that this tote bag has heald up as well as it has. I’ve had it for about four years and it’s just now showing signs of wear. It was my work bag when I was in my 9-5, then it transitioned into a diaper bag, and is now a staple carry-all tote bag that I still love and use regularly.
