New year, new me! Am I right?!
Just kidding.
I’m not making new year resolutions this year but I do have a couple of things I want to work on in 2021 and one of them is to start exercising again. Last year I became a certified High Fitness instructor, ran a half marathon, went on a couple of hikes, and then did absolutely nothing aside from going on walks from September onward.
I know that I need to exercise regularly for my own mental health, and that is especially true in the winter months. I’m starting small with low-impact barre3 workouts (Andrew got me an unlimited membership for Christmas!) and of course some new workout clothes.
I know it’s a cliche but it’s true that new workout gear makes it easier to go work out. It’s all in our heads but just getting dressed is half the battle (you can read more about the science behind this in Atomic Habits if you’re interested).
One of my favorite places for affordable but still cute and functional workout gear is Old Navy. Most of their activewear is under $40 and you’d never know it. I’ve been gushing about my love for the Old Navy Elevate leggings for over a year now and still love them.
Old Navy has a great selection of workout clothes and I wanted to highlight the best from Old Navy activewear today.
The Best Old Navy Workout Clothes
One of my all-time favorite workout leggings! They come in a bunch of color options but I have a special place in my heart for these with the scallop detail
These are the Elevate compression leggings. They are my go-to for high-intensity workouts like High Fitness or anything where I want more support. They are also great for weight lifting since they are thicker (iykyk)
I’ve been eyeing this crop top for months but haven’t been able to get my hands on it because it sells out FAST! It comes in a bunch of color and pattern options if you can get to it fast.
They released the same crop top but with long sleeves just a few weeks ago.
Another item I’ve been eyeing are these long line high neck sports bras. I like that it’s a combination of sport bra and crop top so you don’t need a shirt if you don’t want
Old Navy has a bunch of really cute matching sets. This bra and leggings set are one of my current favorite patterns of theirs.
The matching leggings.
These are the 7/8 Powersoft Elevate leggings (my favorite)
Over the summer they launched their bike shorts. They are the same style as the compression leggings but with an 8-inch inseam.
This is a super basic tee that I have and really like. I don’t wear it for heavy workouts at the gym but for running around after Ted or for going on walks.
This is another Old Navy item that I’ve been eyeing for years now. These tunic sweatshirts look perfect for wearing over leggings (they cover your bum) but also for going to and from the gym. Just an easy comfy layer.
