I have finally been taking some steps to decorate our home in a way that isn’t a mishmash of furniture from Andrew and mine’s single days. My armchair arrived yesterday and I have more coming over the next week or so. Since I’ve been browsing and finding some great affordable furniture, I wanted to share it with you guys. Here are some of the links I’ve pinned for the not-so-distant future.
- I was looking at getting matching silk panels for either side of our fireplace but the cost was greater than I wanted to spend. I liked these ones off Etsy but ended up with these floral silkscreen prints on linen. Still a botanical design on fabric but much more affordable.
- I’m planning on getting this light fixture for Teddy’s room. All the bedrooms in our home still have the original light fixtures but we stray painted them years ago when we moved in. I finally have time and budget (mostly budget) to start replacing them.
- This pillowcase is stunning and would beautiful on all-white bedding.
- Our glassware is slowly but surely breaking. I’m totally ok with it because I want to replace them with these bumble bee glasses. I honestly can’t believe that these sets are under $100.
- I really love when people have a bust as part of their shelving. I just think it’s chic as heck. This one is a good affordable option that is under $50. Personally, I love this one of Mr. Darcy and will spring for it someday.
- I want to paint our front door then upgrade it with this bumble bee door knocker. It has a bunch of great reviews and if you can’t find it on Birch Lane, it’s also available on Wayfair , Amazon, and Lowes
- Love this picture. It reminds me of a photograph I have of my dad and his friends in their tennis whites that was taken sometime in the 80s.
Affordable Home Decor for a Traditional Home
I ordered these panels for either side of our fireplace. Love that they are textiles rather than paint prints.
I’ve seen these glasses around the internet and I love them so much! I also can’t believe that the entire set is under $100.
They also have matching wine glasses here
Here are the clear glass sets, which, granted are more practical.

I’m thinking of getting this light fixture for Teddy’s room. I love the piping around the edges.
Not super sexy but our guest room needs new window treatments. I’m thinking of getting these brass double curtain rods. They have good reviews and also come in black or silver.
One Kings Lane, my favorite home decor site to browse then feel a little sick when I see the prices, has a collab with Bed Bath and Beyond! This cane nightstand is part of the bedroom collection and I love it.
See the entire collection here. Everything is under $500. The matching dresser is also gorgeous.

Love the look of this pocket watch clock. I was thinking it would look nice on my nightstand or in the living room (once we don’t have toddlers).
Stunning pillowcase. I’d love to get a set of these for our bedroom. They are an Etsy find and come in all sizes!
