Are you ready for Amazon Prime Day? It’s considered Cyber Monday in the summer because you can get amazing deals via Amazon Prime. And it isn’t just Amazon anymore. Target and Walmart have both stepped up their summer sale game to compete with Amazon Prime Day.
This year Walmart will have their summer Black Friday ‘Deals for Days’ event starting on June 20th (Father’s Day) through June 22nd. Target also will be competing this year with their Summer ‘Deal Days’ also June 20-22nd.
Monday is when it all starts so are you ready?
What’s worth buying during Prime Day?
If you’re just shopping on Amazon, I find that Amazon in-house brands are the best deals. This means the Ring doorbells, Kindles, Firesticks, Alexa devices, and all the other latest gadgets specific to Amazon. There will be special items added on both days so you can check back if you are watching for specific items to go on sale.
Much like Black Friday in November, these Prime Day sales are a great time to look at electronics. TVs, tablets, and things that I classify under the gadget category, including kitchen gadgets, all tend to be included in the sales.

What is Walmart’s Deals for Days Event?
Walmart is trying to compete with Amazon in every way these days. Between their Walmart+ subscription (free grocery delivery, free shipping, plus other benefits for $98/year) and now their Deals for Days event they are making a decent go at it in my opinion. Deals for Days will be Walmart’s version of Prime Day where they will have Black Friday deals for three days in June. The Deals for Days event will be June 20-22nd on Walmart.com
There will be more on sale than just electronics. They are previewing their sale items and sale categories here.
What is Target’s Deal Days Event?
Just like Walmart, Target is trying to compete with Amazon by having a big blowout sale on the same days. Target’s Deal Days will be from June 20th-22nd. This sale will be exclusively online and will be for everyone, not just Target members or app users.
Target has announced its sale details here. It will cover just about all categories from electronics to home to beauty and grocery.
Get ready because starting Sunday, the sales are on! Happy shopping.
