I have several lists of small businesses in my holiday archive but I wanted to share an updated version before it’s too late and shipping deadlines have passed.
Cake By Courtney
Cake by Courtney is a brand that includes both baking and cake tools as well as an incredible cookbook. If you haven’t seen her Instagram, go now and be amazed by her incredible cakes. She shares a ton of recipes on her blog but the new cookbook is supposed to go above and beyond.
Honey & Hank
I’ll probably preach about Honey & Hank until the day I die. They are the best hostess gift because they are whimsical but also functional and practical gifts. They are known for their Stateside Collection which is where I’d recommend you start.
Lace and Pearls
My lovely friend Asa took the plunge several years ago and started her own jewelry line. If you need any romantic feminine handcrafted jewelry, she’s your girl. She also regularly attends local Seattle trade shows like Urban Craft Uprising in case you want to see her products in person.
Penny Linn Design
Want to get into needlepoint? These needlepoint kits have charming and preppy designs and will come with all the supplies you need to do a single canvas. NYC-based blogger Krista Robertson started this company during her quarantine.
Frankie Bean Co.
I discovered this brand of mommy (or daddy) and me sweatshirts on Instagram and fell in love! They have simple gender-neutral sweatshirts that represent various US cities in both adult and child sizes. I really want to get matching Seattle sweatshirts for the entire family.
Birchmark Designs
This is another brand that I discovered on Instagram only to realize that I already own some of their products. They make custom child bookends and I have a set for Teddy’s room. They have since expanded to making baby signs, monthly milestone markers, name announcements, and that sort of thing.
State of Play Kids
Cute graphic sweatshirts and other clothes for kids plus some mommy and me matching pieces. I love these West Coast sweatshirts and want to get matching ones for Teddy too. Also love their “Burbs” line. It makes me chuckle every time.
For Love & Littles
Seattle blogger Rechelle launched a boutique clothing store for kids last year that is thriving. You’ll find baby clothes, wooden toys, and some tabletop items all in the prettiest muted tones.
Land of Bebe
Another boutique baby store. This one is chic as heck. I am already planning on getting this placemat for Ted, personalized of course.
24 Copper Lane
Another blogger-created brand, 24 Copper Lane, caters to the gentlemen out there serving up handmade leather goods. Get a stylish high-quality wallet, card case, or accessory roll for the men in your life.
Dudley Stephens
Environmentally friendly and stylish fleece clothing for women and kids. Their fleece tops come in every color imaginable and are made from recycled fabrics. I’ve been thinking of splurging on their Cobble Hill tunic style for a while and finally pulled the trigger. It was so nice that I got one for my mom too.
Dae Hair
Dae Hair is a line of clean hair care products that I have been dying to try since they launched last year. It was created by Amber Fillerup who has the most gorgeous locks you can imagine. They sell the basics (shampoo and conditioner) along with hair tools and a variety of deep conditioners and other products. You can also find their products at Sephora.
