Ok so for you longtimers, today we are going on a trip down memory lane and looking back on the best Northwest Blonde has to offer. Personally, I’m also a fan of blogs that have their “Best Of” posts all in one place. It can really give you an idea of what a blog is all about without having to hunt down those top posts.
So for you older timers who might remember these posts, I hope you love the chance to go back and take a second look. And for newer readers, I hope you liking seeing some of the best on Northwest Blonde!
#1 Perfect (Sunless) Tan
Around February-March of every year, this post starts to get a TON of traffic! Why? Because we are all planning vacations in sunny climates and are sick of our pale winter skin! I still use the process I outlined in this post and the exact same products with the same stellar (and natural looking) results. Give it a go next time you want to get a tan but without all the UV damage.
#2 Designer Alternatives Series
This is by far my most popular series. I started this wayyy back in the day when I was still a college student and wanted to get the designer looks for less. I’ve covered everything from sunglasses to shoes to handbags. Here the entire series list below. I regularly go through and update the links so hopefully, you can still find some great looks for less.
Designer Alternative:
- Valentino Rockstuds
- Chanel Boy Bag
- Chanel Cap Toe Shoes
- Karen Walker Sunglasses
- Celine Luggage Tote
- Cult Gia Arc Bag
- Celine Baby Audrey Sunglasses (the original post)
- Stuart Weitzman Highland/Lowland Boots
- Chloe Espadrille Platform Sandals
- Gucci ‘Princetown’ Loafers
- Chloe ‘Drew’ Crossbody Bag
#3 Short Girl’s Guide series
Ok, so this one is just two posts at the moment but I’m planning on publishing more. I’m not particularly tall but others wouldn’t classify me as petite either (I’m 5’5”). However, I have some insight on how us shorter gals can get away with styles normally only ever seen on Amazons with legs for days. And no, I don’t include tailoring as one of my solutions.

#4 Working Girl Starter Wardrobe | Business Casual Capsule Wardrobe
Last spring, I finally shared my own personal capsule closet that I used while I was transitioning from college student to corporate 9-to-5er. It’s a collection of pieces that allow for maximum style on a minimum budget, namely because you probably already own many of these pieces. With these 20 items, I was able to create a calendar with an entire month’s worth of work outfits without ever repeating a look. I’ve since also published a Summer Addendum with what to add and subtract for the warmer months.
#5 How to Dress for Spring When It’s still Cold Out
All my ladies in the North, say “Heeeyyyy”! It tells me a lot about you ladies that this post is doing as well as it is.
But in reality, I live in Seattle, one of the most northern cities in the continental US. Frankly, there’s more fall, winter, spring around here than summer and summer means barely hitting 80. I understand the pain of seeing most of the nation celebrating spring and bare legs while at home we’re still wearing tights and parkas. This post touches on some ways you can still get the spring feel without freezing.
Here’s to you who keep coming back for more and more stylish content. Thank you!
Until next time,
Ana Luiza
