I finally bit the bullet and pulled together an Amazon shop. Many of you have asked me to share blog posts with my Amazon Favorites so here we go.
But I need to tell you the honest truth, I don’t shop on Amazon very often. I’ve said this before but I’m pretty sure we are one of the only families in Seattle (home to Amazon) without an Amazon Prime account. We had one for a couple of years but it made impulse shopping WAY too easy so we canceled it and that was well over a year ago.
In the past three years, most of my Amazon purchases are baby-related or books. Kinda boring I know. But some of my favorite items are available on Amazon. So here are the top 10 in no particular order. There are more items listed in my Amazon shop. I’ll be adding to the Storefront as I find new products to love!
Housekeeping Note: The 2020 Reader Survey giveaway is still open! If you’d please take just a couple of minutes to fill that out, I’d be most appreciative. It really ends up dictating what I post about here on the blog.

1) Kitchen Aid Mixer
I’ve only just started to appreciate how fantastic this stand mixer is. We received it as a wedding gift and I’ve really been getting some use out of it lately. It makes baking so easy and (almost) fool-proof. I’ve made cookies, cake batter, bread, pizza dough, roll, all in this machine. It’s really nice because you don’t have to knead the dough; the mixer does it for you. I’m not a wiz in the kitchen but this KitchenAid mixer really helps a lot.
2) Cast Iron Skillet
This was my most used pan for years. It heats really evenly all the way across which was such a nice change from our old pans that wouldn’t cook very well on the outer edge then burn everything that was in the middle. I try to use this pan regularly as it helps infuse our food with extra iron without needing to take supplements. As vegans, we need the extra iron adding to our diets.
3) Electric Kettle
Another wedding present that we use absolutely every day. I don’t drink coffee anymore except for the odd cup when traveling so I use it for my tea in the morning. I also make Teddy’s oatmeal with the hot water, and Andrew uses it to fill his espresso machine with water.
These three home products I just mentioned all live on our countertop because we use them so often.

4) Crib Mattress Protector
The untold, unglamorous side of motherhood means shopping for mattress protectors for when your baby’s diaper leaks. These ones have been fantastic. It comes in a pack of two so you can easily swap it out as needed. These don’t make any loud plastic sounds, they go in the washer and dryer, and have withstood some serious diaper leaks. An all-around win.
5) Marpac White Noise Machine
I love this little white noise machine. It’s chargeable so you never have to worry about batteries. It’s also small enough that you can take it while you’re traveling. Finally, it doesn’t have a timer on it so it will just stay on until you turn it off. No need to worry about it shutting off in the middle of the night and then waking your baby up. Teddy also loves to play with it and it hasn’t broken yet, so that’s another plus!
6) Skip Hop Diaper Changing Pad
Every new mom needs one of these if she’s going to be on the go with her little one. I’ve found that I generally don’t need a full diaper bag since I only have one child but this allows me to have all the essentials on hand. With this changing pad, I’m able to have diapers, wipes, formula. and small snacks all together either in the car or in my tote bag. Plus diaper changes in random places are much easier with this setup

7) Sperry Loafers
My preppy heart stopped when I first got these loafers. The classic penny loafer but with a modern tech twist. They filled the insoles with memory foam so these are the most comfortable loafers you’ll ever wear. I have them in blush pink but they come in classic colors like brown and black, plus fun colors and textures like blush pink and snake print.
8) Paige Verdugo Ankle Jeans
My all-time-hands-down-favorite designer jeans. Mid-rise, ankle-length, any color you want, plus they are so so soft! Uncomfortable jeans are a thing of the past once you’ve tried these.
9) Cap Toe Pumps
Such a classic staple that looks good with both dresses and jeans. I have an older slingback style that I used to wear almost daily to my corporate job. The lower heel makes them really comfortable for all-day wear.
10) Revlon Hair Dryer
Ok, this is a wildcard but I love it so much I have to talk about it again. It dries and styles your hair at the same time, meaning absolutely no round brush needed! It’s like the old school drying brushes but it’s oval-shaped instead of flat so you can get tons of volume all while you’re drying. I haven’t touched my regular hair dryer since I got this one.
