Hi guys!
Thanks for bearing with me while I took a week off blogging. After my travels to San Francisco, I was beyond exhausted and caught some bug. So after a minor crash and burn, I am back.
So now we’re right back at it this week with a new Makeup Monday post and video tutorial!
This is my fondly refereed to “Lazy Girl” makeup and hair. It is simple enough that I can get that extra 15 minutes snooze and still look (semi) pulled together.
Starting with a freshly washed and moisturized face.
My hair was also super crazy this day and could not be tamed all the way. Watch for the baby hair realness in the video!
Goldwell Rich Repair Leave-in Fluid
Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Renewal Beach Spray
Starting the hair, I used a texturizing beach spray on the roots and leave in serum for the ends. After working both in, I comb my hair back with my fingers and twist it into a high bun. I use hairpins and the occasional clip to hold it in place.
Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in Rattan 84
Revlon Colorstay Concealer in Light/Medium
L’Oreal Visible Lift CC Concealer in Light
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in 04 Sandstorm
I use my usual products on my face. I start with a long lasting full coverage foundation, then add concealer over any redness blending it all out with a brush. For highlight and under-eye salvation, I use a lighter shade concealer with a lighter formula. I finish by setting it all with a mattifying powder.
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12Hr Blush in Exposed
Tarte Cheek Stain in Exposed
For the cheeks, I started with a cream blush and set it with the same color in powder form. This amps up the pigmentation and makes the flush last longer than either one alone.
Maybelline Line Stilleto Liquid Liner in Brownish Black
Too Faced Perfect Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
For the eyes, I simply drew a thin line with liner along the lash line, thickening the line towards the outer edge. I tight lined with waterproof liner and, after a good curl, loaded on the mascara.
Kate Lasting Finish Lipstick in 17
I finished the look with a simple pink lip that goes well with a variety of looks and outfits.
And here is the finished look!
What do you guys think?
Easy enough for the day to day?
What is your go-to quick but still polished makeup look?
Let me know in the comments!
Until next time,
