Now we all know I’m not a huge fan
of winter but fall is totally a doable season here in the Pacific
Northwest. The weather is still sunny but there is a crispness to the
air. Warm and cozy outfits are still new, fresh, and fun. Pumpkin
everything.
The five items that I am most excited to dig out of my closet again for fall can all bought at stores found on a new website called Raise.com. Raise.com is a website that sells discounted gift cards and will buy your gift cards for cash. If you have any gift cards sitting in your wallet that you aren’t planning on using, hop over to Raise.com and see what you can get for them! You can find all the basic name brand stores as well as designer brands and some off the wall places that I didn’t expect.
While I’m sad that summer is over, here are five items that I am excited to bust out now that the weather is cooling off. Take a look!
1) Scarves
Scarves are a fun way to accessorize an outfit but also quite a practical item in the fall.
Scarf: H&M
2) Cable Knits
I love cable knits! I have cable knit sweater, socks, tights, leggings, the list goes on. I think that it is a classic pattern that goes well with so many things. Cream colored cable knit sweater gives you New England style when paired with jeans and duck boots. Cable knit leggings or tights can extend the season for your favorite summer dress or skirt!
Sweater: Forever 21
3) Boots
Whether you like combat boots, ankle booties, or riding boots (like myself), fall is the season for them. The weather is cool but not too wet to necessitate Wellington boots. For me, it is the perfect time to get some use out of my riding boots before the rain threatens to destroy them.
Boots: Frye
4) Button Up + Preppy Sweaters
Ok, let’s just say sweaters in general. I love the look of a button up underneath a sweater. It is the look that I associate with preppy style and love replicating. Since layers are key for a Northwest Fall, I love wearing a solid sweater over a patterned button up. Throw on some pearl studs and you might start feeling like a Kennedy.
Sweater: Charter Club for Macy’s
5) Dark Toned Nails
I feel weird when I wear deep plum, burgundy, or black nails in the middle of summer. Let’s be honest, nothing sets off a tan like some bright nails. But as summer and our tans start to wane, I am looking forward to wearing my darker nail polishes.
L-R: Wet N’ Wild, Wet N’ Wild, O.P.I., L’Oreal
