It’s finally getting warmer which is a good thing for my motivation ot work out (lol). I love working out in the summer months. This is also the time of year when I start running again. It’s just so nice to be outside and getting fresh air. Here in the Pacific Northwest, it’s so mild that you never get too warm working out outside.

I’ve finally caved and bought into the bike short trend. Not for fashion sake but because they are great for warm-weather workouts. These bike shorts from the Aerie Offline collection are so soft, they can totally pass for the Lululemon Align shorts but for half the price. For more high-impact workouts, I’ve tried these Amazon shorts, which are nice. I’m also interested in trying these shorts from Girlfriend Collective.
Workout Tanks
I have purchased a couple of these Amazon tanks and they are amazing! 7,000+ reviews on Amazon amazing. So soft and people say they are a perfect alternative to the Lululemon Align tank.
Tennis Skirts and Skorts
Last summer I rediscovered my love for skorts. These tennis skirts are great if you want to work out then run errands without looking like you were just at the gym. I’d wear mine for casual days as well. This year there are a lot more options to choose from like these from Girlfriend Collective which have matching tops and bras but I like these ones from Outdoor Voices.
Workout Dresses
The tennis dress or workout dress is going to be the hot new trend for the summer. This Outdoor Voices dress specifically because they have a shelf bra and shorts built-in.
Baseball Hat
Don’t forget your sun protection this summer. I always like to wear a baseball hat during my summer runs to give my face some extra sun protection. Both Andrew and I have this one from Adidas and it has SPF baked into the fabric.
These are the softest fabric ever! It feels like the Lululemon Align fabric. I love these for yoga or low-impact workouts.
